Ryan Beatty

Opening the night, girlsweetvoiced took the stage with a stripped-back set featuring only her vocals and a guitarist. Her songwriting brought a sense of intimacy to the room, allowing her voice and lyrics to speak for themselves. The highlight of her set was “Tonight,” her Joni Mitchell-sampling track, which was met with an enthusiastic response from the crowd. Her performance set the tone for an evening centered around two artists who know how to bring their songwriting to life.

Ryan Beatty made his entrance in a playful way, shooting a paper airplane into the crowd before opening with “Secret Language,” the hit single from his new album “Sweet Fortune”. Followed by “Cinnamon Bread,” my personal favorite. The fun start quickly gave way to an emotional atmosphere, with fans crying as soon as he stepped onstage.

The simplicity of the set made the performance all the more moving. The lighting was understated, complementing Ryan rather than overpowering him, allowing the focus to remain on his vocals and the emotion behind each song. There was something special about how little the show needed to make an impact. Without elaborate production or distracting visuals, the music was able to speak for itself, creating an intimate connection between Ryan and the crowd.

Ryan closed out the night with an encore of “Fleur De Lis,” his favorite song from the new album. It was a fitting end to an evening that felt personal from beginning to end, leaving the loving crowd with one last moment to take in before the night was over.

Both artists share an ability to breathe life into their songwriting, making their music feel personal to listeners. From girlsweetvoiced’s stripped-back opening set to the emotion that filled the room during Ryan’s performance, the evening reminded everyone how powerful live music can be when the focus stays on the artist and their stories.
