Rebecca Black Turns The Underground Into A Pop Playground On The Exhibitionism Tour

Rebecca Black is done letting the world define her. On October 6, the pop provocateur brought her Exhibitionism (On Tour) to The Underground in Charlotte, delivering a performance that made one thing abundantly clear: she knows exactly who she is as an artist.

Opening with “Miss Delicious,” Black emerged from behind a dramatic fringe curtain, immediately establishing the night's theatrical, unapologetically playful atmosphere. Accompanied by dancers Makayla Bullock and Kacie Collins, she transformed the intimate venue into something resembling an underground nightclub, complete with elaborate choreography, striking costume changes, and bass-heavy production.

The setlist leaned heavily into her latest musical chapter, Age of the Exhibitionist, with performances of “Anaheim Star,” “Corsetry,” and “Hot Wet Delirious” highlighting her evolution into the electronic and hyperpop landscape. Tracks from her 2025 release Salvation, including “TRUST!” and “Sugar Water Cyanide,” further demonstrated the sonic direction she's embraced.

But the production was only half the experience. Black's command of the stage was undeniable, matched by an audience that seemed equally invested in every moment. Fans sang along, danced together, and met her energy with an enthusiasm that made the room feel less like a concert venue and more like a celebration among friends.

What makes Black's current era particularly compelling is the confidence behind it. Fifteen years removed from the viral phenomenon that introduced her to the world, she's built something distinctly her own. There's a refreshing sense of creative freedom in watching an artist reclaim the narrative surrounding her career and turn it into something entirely unexpected.

Closing the evening with “Michael,” Black left Charlotte wanting more. If this performance was any indication, Rebecca Black isn't simply reinventing herself. She's finally having the time of her life doing it.
