Arcy Drive Brings Halloween Home for a Sold-Out Hometown Show at Mulcahy’s
There was no better way for Arcy Drive to celebrate Halloween than with a hometown show. On October 29th, the Long-Island based band took over Mulcahy’s in Wantagh for a sold-out show, turning the night into a not-so-spooky Adam Sandler Halloween costume party. The band members took the stage dressed as various versions of Adam Sandler, and posted to Instagram encouraging fans to do the same. They even hosted a costume contest, where the best dressed Sandler received a prize.
With a packed room of over 1,500 Adam Sandler’s, the night felt like a reunion in every way. From the moment the music started, the energy was impossible to miss. The band’s bassist, Patrick Helrigel, started the night off by jumping over the barricade with his guitar to join the crowd, bringing the band right into the middle of the celebration. It was a thrilling start to the night, and got the fans excited for the show that was to come.
The Halloween theme added another layer of fun to an already special show. Seeing the crowd filled with fake mustaches, baggy shorts, and even real basketballs made for quite the sight. Mulcahy’s was also decked out with Halloween decor, from skeletons hung from banisters, to ghosts flying from the ceilings, and even a massive 12-foot skeleton next to the stage. It was clear that this wasn’t just another show for Arcy Drive, but an opportunity to celebrate Halloween with the community that has been there for them since the very beginning.
As the night started to come to a close, the band gave the crowd one more rush of energy with a pop of confetti. This unexpected moment wrapped up the night in the perfect way, bringing an already unforgettable night to an exciting close.
