Q: What’s an opportunity that you’re manifesting for the next year?
A: For the next year I’m really manifesting getting out there more! I think specifically a big thing for me would to be able to play some live shows with a band! I play at some local open mics here and there but I don’t think it’ll ever have the same feeling of playing my music to an audience in the way that it was intended to be heard! I’m also manifesting potential collaboration opportunities as something I’ve never done!
Q: What accomplishment that would, or has, made you stop and think “I’ve made it"?
A: I think the biggest accomplishment for me to able to say “I’ve made it” is for me to be able to have connections and have an audience that both loves my music, but also me as a person and artist!
Q: What’s a song that you’ve written that you wish more people knew?
A: I have a song called “Hypothetical” that is still to this day one of my favorites that I’ve written! I released it at a time when I was still figuring things out and a lot of my songs from that time never fully came to fruition, but that one in particular is nearly perfect for where I was at the time!
Q: When you’re stuck creatively, what’s your favorite way to get inspired again?
A: Something I learned recently about myself and when I get stuck creatively is that sometimes that happens because my inspiration just isn’t inspiring me anymore. So from that I have learned that revisiting old inspirations, finding new inspirations, or even revisiting old songs help me reach a similar mindset that I would’ve had while making some of my older songs!
Q: If you could leave one message for someone who’s about to hear your music for the first time, what would you say?
A: If I could leave one message to someone who’s about to hear my music for the first time, I would tell them that my music isn’t very conformed, I guess is the best way to put it! I get bored sometimes when I make my music and can have moments where I completely redirect myself to a new, but usually similar, sound!
Q: Without giving too much away, what excites you most about what’s coming next for you?
A: Currently I am working on a ten track album called “Something New” that I currently have two singles released for and a third on its way that takes inspiration from both indie folk and indie pop genres! I have been yearning for the moment that I decide to make an album for years and now it’s finally here and that excites me more than anything right now! Just hope I can find the audience that will back it!
Q: Finally, if you could leave Front Row Weekly readers with one message about chasing a creative dream, what would it be?
A: My one message about chasing a creative dream would be to not be a perfectionist about it and don’t care what anyone thinks! I know it’s super cliche but that’s what helped me figure it out! I had spent years being a perfectionist and so I didn’t release anything until I had thrown away that idea of making something “perfect".
